WHAT’S YOUR STORY?
I majored in Korean literature in university and stayed for quite a while at my first full-time job. At Unitas BRAND, a company that produces marketing brand magazines, I worked in communications and education program planning for over 5 years. I then wanted to try a new role that would help me to grow more and develop myself further, so I decided to search for a new career opportunity. As I was searching for a new nest, I was attracted to Buzzvil’s job posting that said they used a ping-pong table in their conference room and that they welcome extraordinary, talented people, so I applied to join the Buzzvil team.
Although I was somewhat unfamiliar with startup companies, after actually having my interview at a ping-pong table with our co-CEO, John, I thought, “this seems like fun,” and “it will be a new challenge for me,” so I decided to join Buzzvil.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WHAT YOU DO?
Immediately after joining the Buzzvil team, I managed marketing and CS (Customer Service), and recently I’ve taken on managing content and partnerships operations, so I almost feel like I’ve become an editor. It feels like I’ve become a person who delivers bundles of new content every day into users’ hands – a capable editor who makes revisions right away if there are any problems with our content or who can immediately exchange them for better material as they come up. I feel passionate about my job when I deliver high quality content to our users, striving to do better tomorrow than I did today, and when users respond positively to this effort.
OFFICE HOT SPOT
I’m currently making an effort to think that my work station is the best spot and grow more attached to it. That way, I can settle down and focus on my work.
YOUR “IMPOSSIBLE” DREAM
I don’t really want to dream of impossible things since my imagination is sufficient for the impossible, so I want to live my life with achievable dreams.
MOTTO TO LIVE BY
Think wisely, act with conviction, and live life while loving and being loved.
