1.Please give us a quick introduction of yourself.
Hi~~~~~~~~~~ I’m Sandy from Design Team!! Thanks to my parents who made my childhood full of interesting things, I’m a person who loves many things! When I was in elementary school, I play many kinds of computer and website games almost everyday and play tv games with my family as well. (I still play tv games with my cousins, just not that often.) My grandparents was owning a grocery store so I can eat snacks as much as I want, that’s why I am having snacks quite often these days still! I used to listen fairy tale tapes and imagine the scene till i fell into sleep so I can watch animation from Disney and Ghibli again and again even though it was just listening. For me, hey are still the best! I’m also a huge fan of collecting figures(toy) and coins from different countries! Or anything with memories like the note I’ve passed with friends when I was junior high schooler. I really have a happy and full memory’s by childhood!
2. What brings you to Buzzvil?
I would say destiny brought me here. I just graduated from college and was looking for the job at that time. One day, I received a message on Behance. Was so surprised and happy but afraid if it’s a weird job… but after understanding this company, the fact that my design can be seen by so many people on their mobile lock screen, it feels really interesting and exciting to work on and since buzzvil is a rocket startup, so it makes me exciting too! I think it would be really great if I can join Buzzvil so decided to give it a try. Then here I am! Quite fateful, isn’t it?
3. What is your role at Buzzvil?
I’m a Visual Designer at Buzzvil. In the beginning I was just take care of Taiwan’s creative design for lock screen advertisement, however, after one year, started to work on the requests from Japan, Korea and US. Sometimes i do involve in making video for our service, BuzzScreen and simple animation for conference.I don’t really like to make the video when working on it, but once it’s done, feel totally worth it!
4. How does it feel to work at a startup? or advertising industry?
Buzzvil gives me a free hand when it comes to work, of course with big responsibility. I can do anything I wanted to try(related to design) here. About the industry, as mentioned above, I can take care of not only Taiwan’s design but also for different countries which makes me get to know more about the culture of other countries. Although at the beginning I do need to spend some time to figure out what they like or what style they want but at the end very inspiring. Lastly, people in Buzzvil are willing to help and give many feedbacks. That’s the most loving part of Buzzvil!
5. Is there something that you can say “this is the best part being Buzzvillians”?
I can meet people from many different countries, Buzzvil is now with about 70 members from all around the world and we will share our culture to each other when time comes across. The best part in Buzzvil is that people in Buzzvil are full of experience, I can learn much from each of them! Not only design but also languages or other things. And like I answered at the previous question, company gives us a free hand on our work. Really love it!
6. Do you have a personal goal or dream? If so, how does your experience at Buzzvil help you?
I’ve lots of goals want to reach! From to get a diving license to visit the world’s best dive site to swimming with fish and dolphins. Hope I can see mermaid one day too! Also, send parents to travel abroad. Keeping a big~ dog when I have my own house! The most important thing is to taste the best cake shop in every country! About my dream… still looking for it! But maybe something related to bring happiness to other people! Through my design or the things I make like wedding invitation and cake. Or have a toy shop seems not bad! It’s really happy to see someone is happy for me.
