Dropped your phone? Don’t you worry! Buzzvil and KT, one of Korea's largest mobile carrier, have found a way to allow you to repair your cracked phone screen in South Korea. The two companies have joined hands to roll out “CLiP Phone Protector,” (translation) South Korea’s first lockscreen app that comes with an insurance plan.

As Amazon has expanded its repertoire of prime exclusive phones with different device giants including LG, Nokia, Motorola, and Alcatel to give an option to consumers that they could purchase phones at discounted prices to display ads on their lockscreen, the lockscreen advertising funded discount model has become a very attempting option for mobile device makers. However, there has been no device manufacturer implementing the concept outside the Amazon’s territory as the program is exclusively offered for its Amazon Prime members.

Wow, what a summer! I can’t believe your internship with Buzzvil flew by so quickly. I had so much fun both in and out of the office together (although I could do without the welts from paintballing earlier) and hope you ladies did too.
It may sound crazy, but until this summer, I had never worked in an environment with a higher percentage of women. The percentages ranged from 0% in the Marines and between 3-20% in finance and tech. I’d never really put too much thought into why, but after seeing headline after headline after headline about the experience of women in tech, I started to pay more attention.
It’s been a hot summer and the Buzzvil offices in the US and Japan have been on fire by closing six BuzzScreen deals in the last month. The deals mark the beginning of BuzzScreen as a lockscreen service on a global scale.
